Commision type

The commissions are only for SFM (Source Filmmaker) models. I do not work making models for GMod or any other animation program. The only exception is Blender models (if for some reason you need a modeler for your Blender animations), which is the program I use. And although I do make pictures and have limited skill in animating I prefer to focus on modeling, so I won’t be working on those types of commissions either.

Prices

Since my work can vary significantly from model to model I charge for the individual works I do. So the total price of the commission will be the sum of the prices of each individual work.
  • Modelling: 10 USD to 80 USD each mesh
  • Rigging: 10 USD to 80 USD each rig
  • Texture: 10 USD to 60 USD each texture
  • Sculpting: 30 USD to 150 USD each sculpt
  • Flexes: 0.5 USD each flex (simple) / 5 USD each flex (HWM)
  • Porting: 30 USD to 120 USD depending on the complexity

Examples

  • Creating a simple humanoid character with modified texture and custom rig: 50 USD + 30 USD + 25 USD = 115 USD
  • Porting and modifying a complex human model with new textures, improved rig and flexes: 70 USD + 50 USD + 30 USD + 20 USD + 10 USD = 180 USD
  • Refining a model’s rig and applying a few modifications: 30 USD + 20 USD = 50 USD
  • Creating a complex obejct with custom rig and texture: 40 USD + 30 USD +40 USD = 110 USD

Payment

I only accept PayPal. I prefer to receive the payment after the commission is finished and you are satisfied with the result. This is mostly because I do take some time to finish all of the commissions and it wouldn’t be fair to leave someone who paid waiting. Also to give the commissioner the freedom to cancel the work at any time for any reason.

Process of work

I work based on the commissioner’s feedback. Even though I may have my own idea of what the work should be the final word is always from the costumer. I will often send pictures of the work I’m doing, and you are free to ask for them at any time. I prefer to receive the money before sending the model, and in case the commissioner feels the work doesn’t meet their expectations I will refund them. Note that this was never necassary in my 1 year of work. One important thing to note is that my commissions are not all I do for a living, and they can take some time to be finished. Please be patient, I list all of them and will probably have a few others to finish before yours.

Requesting

Send me a message saying you’re interested and I’ll give you my details. It is important that you have a Skype account to perform the file transfer, and maybe Steam account for communication, which is optional. To help me with the process of making you request gather all the files, models, references… and put them in a folder together with the information about your commission, then send it to me in a compressed folder.

Hey Soldier,

are you still doing commissions? I need a model ported to SFM with custom rigging. Are you up for it, perhaps?

Hello, Soldier. I am interested in commissioning you for a simple humanoid model with a custom texture and rig. If it's alright with you, I'll give you my Skype name in notes.

Hey

Er, since you only do things for Source Filmmaker, I hope you don't mind me asking...

Do you know anyone who can hex things for Gmod?

Eh, well, I did talk to someone who says he'll try it, and he's good with models, so...maybe I'll luck out...but if someone does come to mind, I'd be grateful to know, just in case.

Thanks just the same ehehe

Hello, Soldier.

I hope you are doing well. I read through your list and I am interested in commissioning you to help me create a model for SFM. I will be looking at a fully textured humanoid model.

If you are still in business we shall discuss this further in Notes.

Look forward to hearing from you. :)

Hello, I was interested of the commissions you offer. I was wondering if it was possible if you can modify and design a particular model for a project of mine and how much it would cost? There is a Vindictus model I would like to have designed to look similar to my character I illustrated.

Hey! Depending on the kind of modification it could be as cheap as 30 USD to 80 USD or more, I'd need additional details to know exactly how much it would be.

Okay, here is the concept work for my character. The design I want it to look like is the Skull member appearance. There is also several face and back view designs for specific detail.

Im working on a graphic novel. Im going to need multiple models. Bodies similar to blade and soul. Designs are modern. Black ops. And casual
How much would that cost fully modeling textures included.

If I provide models How much would it cost for 1 rig ported to sfm format

Giving you models, What file formats would you need?

Porting one rig, with no midification added, would be around $40. I can work with .mdl, .smd, .obj, .dmx, .tmc, .ascii, .mesh, .xps, plus other formats blender is able to import.

I have a question, if I may, sir.
I'm unable to commission them just yet, but I really wanted to know what exactly would be the price for such a project so I can be sure to set aside enough to properly commission it.

Specifically, I'm talking these models in particular from an old PC game.
i.imgur.com/Lnn3Qau.png
It would be a total of 42 simplistic styled models, two of which having four skins each, and an assortment of rigging points and flexes to make them feel less stiff, as well as eye movement, and additional upper and lower eyelids so they can express emotions.

I apologize if I wasn't supposed to go too in depth with this, though I really did want to know how much it would cost, which given I can't specify all the points of movement I'd want so it would have to be an estimate on your part I assume, so I know for the future how much to have put aside for the commission, be it while commissions are currently open, or needing to wait until they open again in the future. Thank you for your time, sir.

Well, the price of modelling each one ranges from a minimum of $10 and maximum of $30, so 42 would be quite expensive.

Holy moly, I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised, but that is quite the price, $410 at the least, and $1,260 at the very most just for the modeling, the rigging and extra bits to give them the ability to look expressive will definitely stack onto that as well considering I would assume the modeling would be the easiest part. My best bet would be to put aside a good chunk and just ask for four at a time, one from each color, every time you're doing commissions.

Well, thank you very much for your time, I'll more than likely start the slow process of commissioning all of them the next time you are accepting commissions, though hopefully I can at least commission the first four before this commission period ends. Either way, I can definitely guarantee you'll have commissions from me at some point, I just can't exactly specify when, so thank you very much for your time, and for the response.

Okay, so, last time I was here, there was an entirely different price chart, and I'm now curious as to how much a character model commission would be for. Something similar to the Sonic models in terms of model makeup.
